Racer Gates Open: 9am
Racing: 10am-4pm
Admission: $20 per person
Racing: $50 per car/driver
Pit Parking: $10, Free parking in spectator lot

My car is back in the shop for some add'l work again and hope to get it back out on the track for this event :D
 
Well i'm still waiting for a part to arrive and it doesn't look like it will make it in time for us to get it installed for the race this weekend :(

What a great day for us just taking a quick day trip. To bad we didn't bring the car, the air was just right today. Looks like all the dsms made it home in one piece today.
 
I ended up taking second place in ATPTURBO heads up class. Ran new best 9.65@144.

It was definitely great out there today. Its been a while since I had the car run good and drive it back into the trailer.

Who ended up winning the event?

The black fully built drag car is actually and Acura TL or CL can't remember but i took a good long look at it at one of the Wekfest car shows a year or so ago and it's built RIGHT...........haven't heard about what it runs now though.......so how did it run?

How was the "tank" ted?

She ran good Pat! No crazy numbers, but my whole plan was to keep it together throughout the event. :pray:

1st pass against Hiens 9.8 I ran a 10.7@ 141. Kept the nitrous on through the 2 step just a hair on the next pass and netted a 9.675@143 (best of the day), then a 10.0@144, and eliminated right before the semi qualifiers on a 9.9@145 to a fast little hatch back that ran a 9.674@146. :thumb:

Drove it back into the trailer, no leaks, no real issues other than the bottle going empty, but thats another lesson learned. Not a costly one, and the motor held together after the oil pump fiasco from the last event.

You gotta get out there Pat. The heads up class needs to stay healthy in participants.
 
Cmi events are once in awhile for me. Ive been to 3 in a row and still no pat.

Says the guy who needs to build a race car for the class!




Imma try to "motivate" you (aka talk shit) as much as I can, to get you to finish the auto car. :D
 
I lost to the Brian Brock EG again in the final.:ohdamn:

My check engine light was going crazy and knock counts kept climbing on top of first gear... Shorted shifted to second and the EG pulled away about 2 lengths so I shifted to neutral and coasted to finish line. I figured there is no way to catch him once he's ahead. I didn't want to risk blowing the motor and still lost the race. I looked at the log and everything was fine. Must have been false knock from something hitting the engine block. Car pulls strong on the way home.:hellyeah:

Found out later that he stripped 4th and also coasted to the line.

Should have given my bottle to Ted and have him take care of business.
