Spindle Nut

I am trying to replace my rotors as we speak. I got the pin out of the spindle but it is just a mess of rust.

I was thinking maybe I was turning it the wrong way

Does the spindle loosen differently?

For your rotors you dont need to take the spindle nut off. Remove the caliper and caliper bracket and the rotor will just slide off if its not too rusted. If it is rusted u might have to break it loose with a hammer.

The spindle you can just take an impact gun and its off.

Make sure when doing the rear rotors to take off your handbrake before you try removing the rotors.

We bought a brand new impact and aircompressor still wasnt able to get the spindle nut off but we ended up just sliding the rotors off.

Eclipses seem to collect water on spindle nut. It's inevitable it will rust especially in salt areas. While you have wheel off apply some penetrating oil maybe it will break the rust up for next time.
