I have been tuning on v2.5 for awhile now and i have been thinking about speed density. Since im running the v3 software but still chipped with v2.5 can i still run it? Or do i have to upgrade my ecu to v3? Thanks for the help, I have been trying to search here for an hour and havent been able to find much.

u have to upgrade the v2 chip cant handle all the stuff the custom v3 chip does

Make the upgrade and you'll be happy :thumb: speed density is amazing.

Dang that sucks LOL. Im running speed density with jackel right now. I just got dsmlink v2.5 yesturday and was hoping i could setup dsmlink for speed density just to try it out since i have it all setup already.

I was just curious what tuning is like with dsmlink!

So what excatly would i need to do to go and start tuning with dsmlink since im tuning with speed density.

Convert everthing back to stock with the Mass air flow sensor pretty much??

SD doesn't use a MAF; it uses IAT (intake air temp) and MAP (manifold actual pressure??) sensors.

MAP = manifold absolute pressure

If you read a few posts above, you'd see he's currently running speed density with jackal. He's switching over the DSMlink v2.5 which doesn't support speed density.

I'd vote to upgrade your version to v3 and just start with speed density if that's what your current setup is and what you're used to. It's recommended to baseline your speed density table using a MAS/MAF if you can. But if you have experience tuning that table, you could start from scratch.

Thanks for the help brian. Ill look into seeing how much its gonna cost to upgradeing to the V3.
