Spec Stage 3 Clutch Slipping

Well I got this clutch less than four months ago and less than 3000 miles have been put on it...

I broke it in for a 1000 miles no slipping, no launches, and no hard pulls.

I tried launching it when I had my 16g on 22 psi and it held good, it also held good on my PTE Dual bb 54 trim at 14psi for about 10 launches of slipping the clutch in at 5k rpms.

Now that I have a two step it holds for the first gear slip at 5500 and the tires spin like crazy. BUT as soon as I shift to second it immediately goes to red line in about a second...

I adjusted the pedal so it engauges about an inch off the floor a couple days ago and the tires spun though 1st and second and I finally caught traction in third for about 2 launchs and its back slipping in second again.

It holds fine when I am pulling to red line and No lift shifting in 3rd and 4th. So I know its not slipping then.

It was put in with a brand new act streetlite flywheel and a new clutch kit with disk, pp, and tob. Along with a rebuilt dogbox racing trans.

Can somebody tell me whats wrong here? It only slips in second while in a launch...

Most likely glazed the disk a little and it's slipping when it gets really hot.

Well I think I figured it out, I was slipping the clutch a little to much on the launch and was overheating it and not letting it engauge. I slipped it a little less 5 times within 20 minutes and no slipping

I also lowered the two step to 5k rpms
