Speaker question: if i put speakers in my doors will any sound come out?

Hey guys. I was jus wondering if i put speakers in my doors will any sound come out? The reason i ask this is because my car did not come with door speakers, only dash and rear speakers. I have door panels made for speakers, and also the wiring for the speakers was there except it was taped into a bundle. I will also be putting in an aftermarket deck.

They will work fine. Mine didn't come with any door speakers either. I just hooked them to the wires that were in the door and everything worked fine. Your going to need the factory speaker baskets though. I got mine from a junk yard for like $4 or something. There are two different sized baskets too. I think I got mine out of a 92 and I used 6 1/2" speakers for my doors.

Thats wierd, mine has 6 speakers, must have been an upgrade.

Yes but it won't sound as good if you don't cut out and use baskets. My buddy's 90 is the same way.

Thats wierd, mine has 6 speakers, must have been an upgrade.

It must have been because my TSi didn't come with door speakers and it only had 6 1/2s in the rear instead of 6x9's. I had to change everything. Oh and chicagoavenger, if you get new dash speakers they are 4". I bought 3 1/2s thing fours were to big and they don't fit right.

Also, when i bought the car there was no cd player or radio. There was nothing where all that stuff went. Someone even clipped the plugs off for the radio. I have the plugs now but do i need all the other stuff if i am upgrading to a better cd player? Just a deck and something like a metra harness, right? luckily i still have the eprom ecu. thanks guys
