420A Dash speakers without infinity sound system?

Today while I was installing my dash mat I noticed that there's OEM tweeters in the dash. From reading around here I thought our cars only came with tweeters when equipped with the infinity sound system. I checked under my passenger seat and there's no amp and when I bought the car there was already an aftermarket headunit in there. So is it possible the tweeters are already hooked up? It wouldn't really make sense considering there's no crossover or bass blockers in place.

P.S. Almost all my speakers are blown so I wouldn't know if they were hooked up in the first place.

Just buy a component set for the front. I just put the tweeters up in the dash. I just trimmed the tweeter cover a bit and used some hot glue. I believe the doors are the 6.5in. I bought Orion Cobalt speakers for the car off ebay. They sound pretty good on a small amp.

I had Polk components in my s-10 and loved them, I'm thinking about doing the same with this. The tweeters are already in there though so that's why I'm wondering if my car came with an infinity system or not because there's no amp under the seat but the previous owner could have taken it out.

all if them came with the tweeters. I have yet yo run into a DSM that didn't have them. Even an RS that I came across. It was as base model as they came, (manual windows, manual seats, no tach, no spoiler, no skirts, etc...) but it still had tweeters in the dash.

Yep I have an RS so are they wired in parallel with the front speakers or were they just put there for the heck of it?

the tweeters are ran off the deck's power. they come from the factory hooked up.

Oh ok is there a separate wire harness for them. When I was doing my install I noticed a little harness with four wires in it that didn't get plugged in at all.

yea all the cars have them, its the same thing in my 92 2.0 n/t.
