So there is a similar topic but i just wanna make sure.

So i recently just got a new clutch put in my car and the shop didnt adjust the pedal at all. The clutch drags, and grinds in reverse, and now theres sparks shooting from underneath my car when im WOT and slamming gears.

Whats wrong with my eclipse

Do you have an Open O2 dump off the turbo by any chance? If Not I would suspect something rubbing the flywheel. Maybe they didn't re-install the flywheel inspection cover. Look under the car and make sure nothing is dragging obviously.

theres nothing dragging i just checked. in the other post the guy said to check the bolts on the bell housing. is there anything else it could be?

Why are you going WOT and "slamming gears", when you know the shop didn't adjust the pedal at all?
I wonder if you even believe in the break in period...

Anyways, if a shop did it, take it back.

Yeah id take it back -but break in yeah- after i do a clutch job i take it easy 200-500 miles just for break in if not usually youl glaze the clutch when it gets hot and its done for-never run it bangin gears right after a clutch job- experience learned me that:thumb:

yea i took it easy for a good 500 miles.

I called the shop and in takin it back tommorow to get everything straightened out.

My first guess would have been a metal floor board came loose on the passenger side.

I see it happen once in a movie (The Fast and the Furious) LOL

Yeah you probably Hit the POWERBAND in 8th gear using too MUCH NAWWZZZ and the floor ripped out from PURE POWER ROFL
That first Race in Fast and Furious 1 is like a 5 mile long race haha.

ha well my first race was only 4 and a half miles long

except i went through 3 bottles of nos and after i shifted into 9th gear my oversized wing flew off

But yea. I took my car back to the shop and the mechanics said my clutch should drag, and the car should move when revved to 6000 rps (no i do not redline my car frequently, i was just testing it for clutch drag). They also said theres no possible way to adjust my clutch pedal since its hydrolic :notgood::banghead:

They also completely ignored my question about the underneath of the car sparking.

So does any body have any idea what i do next?

Im going to try to adjust my pedal myself but I dont know what to do if that doesnt work.

I don't know if its the same on a 2g but on the 1g u can adjust it up above the brake and clutch peddle, there's a bolt that you turn and you can change the point where the clutch engages. I would also recommend bleeding the clutch again.

Yeppers, I just replaced my master cylinder recently and the adjustment for the clutch release and engagement is the screw threaded push-rod that extends behind the clutch master cylinder. If it's like the 1G, there's a shaft that extends from the left located clutch pedal to behind the master cylinder, and that shaft operates a lever and a rollover spring. Right above the spring is the rod which attaches to the lever via a U-bracket. The rod threads into the bracket and is jammed by a nut. You can adjust the engagement point by releasing the nut and rotating the rod (maybe by fingers, otherwise by pliers).
