i recently bought my spark plugs from auto zone, along with a auto zone spark plug gapper.. i checked the gap on the spark plugs and they were at about .55 and my haynes manual says they should be anywhere between .29-.33, so natrually i changed the gap.

the problom was i changed the gap when i changed the ignition coil. so it ran smoother because of the coil but i dont know if the spark plugs helped... it still hesitates a little at idle and jumps cuts a little on accel.. anyone know if the autozone gapper is just stupid or maybe what the gaps should really be at?

much appriciated

You should be able to use the autozone gapper, and its no big deal

But a feeler type gapper is really more accurate for gapping
