SPAL fan wiring...2gnt HELP!!

You have two coolant temperature sensors, one for the gauge, and another for the ECU. If you replaced the one for the gauge (a single wire sensor) then the ECT is still providing information to the ECU.
 
Which one is which? I replaced the smaller one of the two on the thermostat housing. I'll have to double check to be sure...

If that isn't the solution, what else could be the problem??
 
I'm new to DSM's but I'm gonna throw out an idea anyway.

Try jumping the wires from the A/C fan. Meaning close the circuit on the positives to negetives. I doubt they are tied together, but it may be the case. I only suggest this because on a few VW's I've messed with in the past the positives and negetives had to all be connected to get a single fan cnversion to operate properly. HTH
