I think all I need now is the cam timing sprockets and the tensioner... This is the downside of buying a car with no engine. finding all those parts sucks ass... They shouldn't be too hard to find.

Thanks Ernesto, I got all my bolts today minus a few that were on BO. I am really trying to keep from getting antsy, but it's hard... All I wanna do is go drive my car. Think I'm headed up to LKQ Monday to find some of the crap I need. After that I should be ready. Now I just gotta keep my fingers crossed that the tranny and differentials hold up so I can drive the damn thing.

Hey guys! I just got to ft Jackson and will be spending next 2 month here, I'm looking for some people with dsm's locally, maybe get together sometimes, hit the local track or hangout spot, or just share some experiences. I also planing on doing some work to my 97tsi while im here. I got a full bay at my disposal with numerous lifts, all sort of snap on tools and even paint booth, so just holler at me!

hey guys. I just moved to Charleston... but the car is in Indiana getting some paint. Any local hangouts around here? I saw a few STi's and some civic over at the K Mart off Savannah Highway with hoods up but thats it.

I'm in school mon-fri 7-5, I will be changing axels on Friday or early Saturday, so hopefully by nigh I will be done. By the way, is oreily's axels and brake rotors are any good? I'm not planing to run more then 350whp so OEM like should hold, well as long as they are actually OEM like.

There is a general car meat at the Sofa Super Center on Rivers/52 in North Charleston. When my trans gets back I will be stopping by there like every other week. I usually park farther away from the street, that is where the less riceish rides park.

Ive been the the Jackson dragstrip quite a bit, and its pretty fun. I'm debating if im going to be there saturday right now. I have a tiny tiny oil leak right now hoping to fix it by friday night.

YAMA-BOND! best gasket adhesive around. It's what yamaha uses to seal the places with no gaskets in their motors. You will not be disappointed.

you can get it at motorcycle shops. I've been told by many mechanics (car and motorcycle) if yamabond doesn't seal it, it can't be sealed.

Im upstate. 93 tsi awd Im only 30min from anderson. Im willing to drive 2 1/2 hrs to meet somewhere, but reading the threads it doesnt seem like its going to happen. Id be down to meet up and just hang out too. Thinking about dyno this weekend. My car runs great but with a pro tune it could be even better.
