So i'am new to the turbocharged scene but i have done my reading on turbocharger systems and external waste gate systems. From what i read and using my own common sense i figured that the sound is normal.(sorry i don't have a sound clip or video) The sound happens when my boost is maxed(for me 14psi) and i'am still flooring it; say if i was racing someone. The sound is like a loud very fast very low pitch clapping noise. My assumption is that the boost controller is causing the wastegate to open constantly and dump the exhaust out through the dump pipe to achieve 14psi and not go over. Please feel free to let me know if this is a normal wastegate/boost controller function and sound.
