So was looking at the forums today and i kept reading people say that there are 5 bolts that hold the trans on and found out i was missing the one in the back that goes from the Block to the trans under the rear motor mount through the dowl pin. so now i have the one on the back that goes through the dowl from the block to the trans, the top two that are easy to see and the one down front by the slave cylinder. am i blind or am i missing a bolt hole? i cant find any pics of all of them, could someone just verify the locations of the trans bolts?

Thank you,

two on block, near starter, one in the front near slave, one in the rear above transmission my car has only foru.

ok two one front, and on the back, thats where the manual came in handy years ago to make sure, i was missing one in the back. so four bolts hold the trans to the block. are you missing one?

For future reference:

There are five bolts holding the transmission and engine block together on a 2G.
There are four on a 1G.

Another FYI tid-bit, if using a 6 bolt engine in a 2g car you only have 4 bolts holding the rtans in also. the one extra on the "front" will only hold the dust shield tight with a 6 bolt in a 2g car/trans setup

I drilled an 1/8in hole in the end of the crack and am getting ready to weld it but i just wanted to say that since installing the back bolt finaly and drilling the hole the crack has not spread in over a week of normal driving. before the bolt and the hole drilling the crack would have spread more than an inch by now at the pace it was going soo thanks all wish me luck and good luck to all!!!

Thank you,
