I have a 95 tsi Auto FWD.

IMY problem is that somtimes it will run and idle perfect and other times it hesitates and will stutter.

I also have to have my idle speed set at 1100 so it wont stall when i put it into drive or reverse.


It seems like it has very little power before it shifts and i can only get around 5psi out of it.

Also when i rev it up in park the brake,battery, and the light that looks like a house which i beleive is the coolant level, light allcome on when the rev goes up to arount 5-6k RPM


I have done all of these things so far to try and correct the problem:
-Fuel filter and added a pressure gauge to make sure it was working right(getting 40 psi)
-New plugs and wires
-Did a boost leak test and fixed leaks.
-Checked and replaced all vacumm lines that were old


Any input anyone can give would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Try doing a Fuel pump re-wire. Search for the thread.

is 40psi too low? and will that cause it to stall out when i try to drive it?

Are you saying you consistently only get 5 psi or just sometimes? Have you checked the wastegate arm, flapper? Checked the hoses running to whatever type of controller you have controlling boost? When you get a chance fill out your profile so we know what you have.

I am new to DSM and especially turbos


But yes my car will boost up to 5psi then you hear the blowoff valve. the guy told me that it was a 16g turbo but idk if its big or small,Ithink small.

I am not sure of what the wastegate arm and flapper are,but im guessing that the arm is the rod that goes down and to the left from the front of the exhaust manifold??

AndI have the hose going to my guage tight and sealed because it was leaking at first.

Hey everybody i need help my cars was a non turbo and now has hahn racecraft turbo kit. i can hear the turbo spool up and the power would come 2-3 seconds later. now when the turbo spools it seems the car looses power can anyone help

I'd start off with a boost leak test.

I am having crappy idle problems too. It starts up sometimes with kind of a high idle but then dies down some and some times dies. It also dies sometimes when I have been into low throttle (pulling out of a place and stop putting my foot in the clutch. I have adjusted fuel like crazy (I have 750cc injectors with a walbro 255 Fuel pump).
