something shot out my exhaust...now car is slow

so i was boosting in my new 16g, only at 10 psi, and when i shifted it sounded like something just came out my exhaust. like a bunch of little bolts or something...its not the same pop sound when you vent your bov. my bov is not vented btw.
it did this a few times and now the car feels like shit..only boosting 3-4 psi. im sure all my ic piping are tight.

could this be a boost leak?

Thats what id check first, pop the intake tubing off an take a look at the turbo. If it sounded like your lawnmower does when you run over that damn golf ball in the yard, then thats not good.

Like defiant said make sure your turbo didnt eat something, cause you said it sounded like little bolts maybe it was hungry and decided it wanted to eat some bolts to cause you the trouble of having to buy another turbo. and you said it was a new 16g did you install it or did someone else, and also did you make sure everythnig was fine when it came out of box from the factory, cause those are things you should check to avoid problems like this one, being how shipping in is and how some people can't install shit for crap. If you can't tell what the problem is take a picture of the turbo and the inside and post it on here.

I beg to differ. Too many times people come here asking "I JUST BLEW UP MY TURBO COULD THAT BE WHY ITS NOT RUNNING RIGHT?" or something rather OBVIOUS.

Actually pull your o2 housing.

See if you even have a turbine wheel left.

Someone launched a turbine wheel right out their tailpipe at a strip once.

They actually picked it up and handed it to him.

I agree with checking the turbo but you may also want to remove the cat and inspect it. Make sure it's not coming apart on you and clogging up your exhaust. But yeah, check the turbo.
