something loose what could it be??

ok so i bought a new axle cause i thought thats what was probly making the slight click noise at take off but when i crawl under the car the axle seems fine.most of my past experience with a bad axle i would here clicking on downshifting low speeds and when turning.i dont hear none of this..it only click when i take off then it sounds like something is loose like a slight rocking sound..do these cars have a long bar used as a traction bar??i know my last honda had two bars up front that held the tire from going back and forth im not sure if dsms have it..but im completly stumped on what could be loose under there please help

First off, does it make the noise at constant speed while at full lock? if so that should be an axle.
An intermittent noise could be anything suspension related, only at power/brake could be lower control arm, tie rod ends, completely blown shocks, loose brake calipers?
Jack up the front end and try to wiggle the wheel and different parts, that should give you a better idea of what it is.

you said it makes it when turning and that makes me think it is a bearing. go down the road swerving back and forth. if you hear it loud when you go right it is the left bearing and vice-versa. that is of course if it is clickin.

if it is a thump i don't know

it only does it when starting and braking.it sounds like it clicks backwards on a start and forward when i stop.when i turn it doesnt click even if its a sudden turn only when i take off or drop to a lower gear it kinda vibrates then it clicks at constant speed it makes no noise at all after im rolling and going you dont hear the click in none of the gears only when i down shift going up an off ramp it does it agian while rolling

Sentence structure would be nice. Check your motor mounts etc. If it doesn't do it while turning, that will rule out your tie rods and cv shafts etc.

yea ill check it out when its above 20degrees outside. i think it could maybe be a motor mount or something in that ball park..any more ideas???

May even be steering rack mount, curb it recently?
It sounds more like a wheel bearing or blown shock imo. Make sure all the bolts are tight. It's 25* here and windy as hell, I know what you mean!

Blown shock is a possibility but I think the would be real noticeable. Last time I blew one, everytime the car hit a bump or turned it sounded like an old wooden door.

It has to be something associated with any weight transfers forward and backwards. Loose lug nuts maybe?

yea its freezing here in kansas city .but were would i find the steering rack mount??its not a blown shock cause it takes bumps good no crazy sounds when i go over speed bumps..i have took that tire off on that side so many times and tightined it back up that i know its not that ..its annoying that it only does it when taking it off.its supposed to snow and im terrified to drive it that way in the snow..my friends car has two completely blown wheel bearings and his car is very noticable my car doesnt ride no were near like his ..could it be bushings??

I had something like that a while back. When I replaced my front control arms one of the rear bushings just fell-off the back of the arm. I slid it back on, and it had about 1/4 inch of play around it's shaft. I figured that pretty much explained a lot of things.

hmm interesting thanks bud i might have to check that out to.what do i look for when i know what the control arm look like but what bolt has the bushing on the back??

Have You check the drive shaft?

yes drive shaft,differential and transfer case,transmission were the fist things i checked all of it is tight as can be..im just praying it dont snow before i fix this issue.it dont slip in the rain but i dont know how it will act in the snow

Sounds like it, lower control arm.
