4. has anyone ordered from discountbodyparts.com?

I tried the eBay metal intake and personally didn't care much for it. The recirc flange was way too short for my liking. The body of the intake was too long and shoved my air filter so close to the fender i had to smash the filter just to make it work. I took it off the exact same night i bought it and let it sit for about 2 years till i decided to just deal with it because i was HP hungry and wanted some bling.

Power wise i couldn't really tell you, I didnt feel much after installing it either times. MPG's i think were about the same.

And you have 2 o2 sensors, the one on your o2 housing coming off the turbo and another on the exhaust with wiring going under the driver seat. The sensors are usually the same with the main difference being the wire length.

ok well i have aa k&n so i wont be using the filter and adaptor they send. where is the cheapest place to get the right o2 sensors? will that cat work?

ok so i guess the ebay high flow cats are just resonators and will throw off the second o2 sensor.

Yes the race cat should work, however if you plan on upgrading your exhaust (which you should especially if you want to really wake up that 16g) then I would go for the full downpipe. It automatically eliminates the cat and has the bung welded in for the o2.

No, that is not the right o2. Our cars come with a 4-wire o2 sensor. The rear is just a monitoring o2 to make sure the cat is working correctly and is not necessarily needed anyways. Look up what is needed to make sure you don't get a CEL if those bother you though. Here is something like what you will need. HERE.

Looks about right, I bought mine years ago. I got mine with a test pipe which proved to be useless since the dp met with the catback (eBay as well) but i'm really not sure if they've changed length to require a test pipe since then.

No, the cat is for emissions only and removing it won't do anything but throw a CEL. The HP increase is huge however, i've seen some people gain as much as 30whp by removing it. It's a restriction in the exhaust on a turbo car and thats a big :nono: for performance.

Cleaning o2 sensors isn't really necessary since the only things that can really hurt them is silicone, coolant and something else which shouldn't ever be in your exhaust but my memory fails me on what it is...

ok sweet, i was running pretty rich for a while so i wasnt sure of their ability. i will probably order the downpipe soon and the intake also. thanks man i really appreciate it!

Np.

With the intake you'll need atleast an Auto-zone shorty filter, the factory K&N box will hit. I managed to keep it by flipping my box and keeping the filter exposed sort of like the ARC style.

Remember o2 sensors do still need replaced after time, but if you think its messing with fuel trims it's your front.

i actually have the k&n kit with the open filter not the stock box.

maybe i will try to clean them with maf cleaner if i feel like its messing me up. and if that doesnt work ill buy new ones. im also planning on doing a full ac delete.
