I guess one of the people my buddy works with has like 2 16gs (not sure if they are small or big 16gs) and that he might sell me one for cheap. My question would be if my car was basically stock could I run a 16g safely and what boost would I be able to run it at?

As soon as my taxes get here Im picking up a real boost gauge and egt. Already have a k&n open air filter as well as a mbc. Also when the weather starts warming up me and my brother are probably going to weld together a 2.5" exhaust for it.

Would I need anything else to run this turbo safely and what else would be highly recomended for mods to having everything running safely?

Lastly would be how do I tell if its truely a 16g(big or small) and what would be a good price for it?

Thanks,
Lyle

As long as you don't turn it up, then it's safe to run. Once you get that exhaust on there then you can turn it up a bit. Kinda hard to tell the 16g from the big 16 without actually measuring the wheels.

Ok see the tunning guide...But if you are stock run as low boost as possible. Dont use the mbc til you have intake and some fuel and exhaust mods. In order for you to run more then lets say 12psi would be a fuel pump and maybe a fpr. I would recomend you pick one up if you can afford it but try and wait as long as possible to put it on.
