ok i was driving my car today and i was going down a hill so i tossed it in netural and it shut off then i went to start it and wouldnt trun over so tossed it in 4th and it pop started then i got to light and it stalled again but turned it over a few times and started got to where i had to go came out to my car like 4 hours later started with np so i took the highway home and when i got off i noticed a noise coming form the motor kinda loud so i got to my house and pulled in the driveway as i was doing so it shut off again but started right back up i poped the hood no smoke or anything alittle oil from a leaking value cover gasket thats ben replaced before any idea why it could be doing that? plugs and wires maybe?

Holy crap man, please punctuate. As for the problem, i'd check plugs and wires, DO a boost leak test, check turbo for play. Start with the smaller things. Maybe even a BISS. Maybe a bad miss. This one might be beyond me, but those aren't bad things to check anyway.

Go to the section for new owners for whatever generation car you have, I think it's a 1G('90-'94) and read and DO what it says. Change fluids, plugs, wires, etc. Then become familiar with www.vfaq.com

Don't forget to check the ISC too. When mine started to go bad my car's idle became flakey. Sometimes it was "fine" and other times it straight up died.

As for the noise under the hood... more specific? DSMs make a lot of noises.

One of the terminals on your battery might be loose.

Also check to see if your caps on your ECU are leaking.

I don't know if he needed much punctuation as it was mostly a single run-on sentence.

In any event, if his grammatical skills are any indication, his vehicle troubleshooting will likely prove fruitless as well.

But, it sounds like the problems started when he tried to clutch-start the car going down a hill in 4th gear. This isn't surprising as that is very rough on the engine. He most likely skipped the belt a tooth or something of that nature. I'd add a timing check to the troubleshooting checklist.
