so what's the smallest car the 4g63 can fit into?

I just bought a dodge d-50 trans from a 2.0L block ( or mitsubishi mighty max ) for a 4g63 into my ice racing Chevette. Im sure there are smaller cars out there but the Chevette is not big. There is a Chevette with the 4g63 racing in Chump car so I know it fits.

Hope you keep it on ice, because that transmission isn't built for the power.

I would say a Colt or Mirage.

But who would do that? Stupid as hell IMO....

That's the most common option to get it in a lighter car right? And it goes right in little to no mods? How much does it weigh?

You sure are not up to date on these swaps, there are probably more colts with the 4g63 than with their original motors, and I would venture to say that it is probably the most popular swap for the 4g63.

They drop in without much of a problem and it has been done so many times that nothing is any longer a mystery or difficult to build.

Go to 4g61t.org. and take a look.

Fiat 500, the older one.
Four guys can pick that thing up, yet seven can fit comfortably enough to go to a fast food place during lunch break.

Its nearly 2400 lbs tho. Pretty fat for such a little looking car with the aerodynamics of a large rock.

Oh yeah, I was looking at the modern one. Wow, that one is light. Too bad probably hard to find

Yeah, probably. Wonder why the new one is so much heavier?
And what about a Smart car? They are a bit lighter than new Fiats (1600 lbs) and are easier to find. Plus instead of a brick it has aerodynamics of a shoe :)

2205 stock trim... & yeah pretty much.
