Hey guys, long time no post. Recently picked up a 93 VR4, and am wondering if anyone knows if the 1G DSM 16" steel rims will fit on it without a problem. Looking for something run snow tires on in the winter...

I've asked this question over at 3si, but no definitive answer, just a possible "the offset may be wrong" deal.

So can anyone tell me what the offset and spacing on these rims is? Could also use sizing help for tires so that I can keep my speedo reading as close as possible (going from 245/45/17 down to a comparable 16" tire)...

Doesn't the VR4 have 4-lug wheels? If so you're outta luck,1g and 2g DSM's are 5-lug.

5 lug AFAIK. Would have to look again, haven't been paying much attention to it lately. More concerned right now with getting the heads swapped over to fix the bent valves from the belt slipping stupid previous owners ...

OP: Yes the 3/S cars have the same bolt pattern as the DSMs. 5x114.3. So yes DSM steelies will bolt on to your VR4.

Will I have any issues with the offset between the 2 though?

Your 3/S has a 46mm offset and DSMs I believe run around a 35mm Offset but this should not be a problem if you are just wanting to use them for winter tires. If you were running Auto-X, that would be a different story but you should be just fine.

You could but I wouldnt reccomend it. The only thing you may notice is that your wheels may sit in a little farther but you should have no problems with the turning radius or anything and for winter tires I wouldnt even worry about it.
