Im looking for the harness for the 6bolt swap, the one that makes the CAS work, and I see that there are 2 companies making it, RRE and Magnus.

Problem is that Magnus doesnt have any sort of ordering instructions, and ive emailed them before with no response, and RRE looks like they are living in the stone age, and I dont know If i want to try and FAX them a damn order and hope they see it and do all of that crap.

So which harness should I get, or who is easiest to deal with?

yeah id say your living in the stone age given you cant figure out how to order parts...call rre, simple as that

WTF

RRE is a VERY reputable shop and you should not be bashing it. :nono:

Not sure why you think RRE is living in the stone age (maybe lack of online ordering, as their website is pretty crap) but they are very reputable & great to deal with. Their policies are there for a reason & everyone benefits from them. If you don't feel like giving your CC info over a fax, just give them a shout, its that simple.

Yes, I understand I could just call, but I was also asking which would be a better company to deal with, and which would be a better buy. I realize that it is a simple harness, but having no experience with either company, I wanted an opinion.

And I tend to judge the scale of professionalism of a company by the website they present their products with. Being a web designer, I cant help it. Thanks for the responses.

True, but you can't just base you judgement on RRE's website alone. You might want to consider doing a search on RRE as well here on tuners before saying something negative about it.

"judge the scale of professionalism of a company by the website they present "

Few ebay sellers selling DSM parts has some wonderful looking sites, but some of their stuff are shit and very very poor customer service.

Give RRE a call and you can ask them a lot of questions and you will know first hand that it's a reputable shop. Ask for "MIKE" He's a DSM Guru.:rocks:

Not to throw gas on a fire but which would you rather have? A pretty website that they spend all their time keeping looking pretty with no or basic website with good information found RRE's too busy keeping DSM's running fast to screw with a pretty website.

They sell EVERYTHING for your DSM. Most of it isn't on the website. If you need it ask they have it or will have it soon. Good prices with great customer service won me over years ago.:rocks:

^^^I second that, I have ordered many parts from them and have yet to be dissastified with their customer service, ordering, or parts. They have been in the DSM game a long time, usually theres a good reason for that.:thumb:

You need to stop right there.
I'd tell your to call either Ty or Marco but I'm afraid you'd give them a headache.
Just go to that stone age site and you'll find instructions on how to make the harness yourself. It's easy.

Ive seen the instructions to make it, and I dont trust my cable making abilities enough to do it. And im sorry, but I tend to make first impressions on a company based on how they present their products. If they want to sell me something, then they need to make it easy for me to get it, bottom line. I can go on slowboys site and get something to me the next day, no big deal. The only headache I would give them would be a result of my incessant pleas for them to make a presentable online frontend store.

I called and ordered mine. Had it the next week. You have to order it for the year of your car not the year of the engine or cas. But the harness will only work with 91+ cas.

So I was wondering if you use the 2g harness and you just need the CAS adapter to make the 6bolt work?

P.s. RRE riped me off on my break upgrade as they sent the stock calipers, fixed that problem but refused to correct the pads. If they are so sure they sent me the correct pads why does it rattle like crazy over every little bump?

I made my own in 5 minutes with $.85 worth of crap off that stoneage website, I mean who isn't capable of cutting a connector off, and crimping a few wire connectors...."cable making abilities"..thats classic Man.

Ive never used a soldering iron in my life. Also, I didnt have any CAS connectors just laying around. I would rather have the piece of mind of knowing it was done right.

And note: I ordered it from RRE, got it quick, and it looks great.

You were all caught up in the pretty pictures but there is more to this that the eyecandy in a web advert.

Was it necessary to edit my quote with a laughing smiley face? I was just stating a fact, if you want to run a business, you need to advertise properly. If RRE had a nice website up, none of this would be being discussed. And whats the deal with Slowboy anyway? Ive ordered tons of stuff from them without a single problem, and it arrives usually within a day or two for me.

Absolutely!
Go here http://www.vendors-reviewed.com/phpBB/index.php and type Roadrace Engineering into the search window. Now repeat the process but this time type Slowboy.
Note the difference in results.

My goal here is not to bust your balls but to get you to see that there is more to this than shiney web graphics.
More concern should be shown for what's behind the webpage; the organization and integrity of the people you are dealing with are really what makes for a sucessful transaction.

Good luck and have fun with you car.
