A freind of mine just picked up a 98 Talon TSI AWD in Ontario.
seems like he got a good deal on it, But...
it has High km's, about 175 on it, apparently its 110% stock, never rebuilt, no turbo rebuild and so on. just the basic matinence.
now, the problem is, when he first starts the car it lets out a puff or two of Blue smoke.
and, when the car is left at idle is smokes as well.
under full acceleration and full boost it seems to burn good, you get the odd little hint of blue smoke, but nothing compaired to the start up or at idle.
normal cruiseing its good, no smoke from what i can see when im behind him..
With a non turbo car I would assume its a valve seal problem, but people are telling me that a "turbo seal" or something can cause that problem.
what do you guys think ?

he would like to get this fixed asap incase it can get worse or lead to damage.
