My car smokes bad on acceleration I'm talking plumes of white smoke, any ideas on what it could be ?

white smoke is usually coolant but not always. Type "white smoke" in the search, there are a few threads on this. You will find lots of good info.

Well, the rule of thumb goes:

White smoke = coolant, usually head gasket problem
Blue smoke = burning oil, possibly piston rings or related
Black smoke = unburned gasoline, your car is running too rich

It's not always as simple as this, of course, but leads you in a good direction. I'd advise you to go to the nearest mechanic and ask them to test your coolant for exhaust fumes. They take some coolant into a bottle and add some additive liquid to it. Based on the color of the mixture they can tell if your coolant has signs of exhaust fumes. If it does, you have a leaking head gasket. This test shouldn't cost a fortune, I had my car tested for like 20 bucks.

I think I might of found the problem, a friend suggested valve guide seals so we pulled the head. Two of the head bolts over the number 1 piston where finger tight (i didnt build this btw I bought it not running and fixed the timing problem so it would spark, it smoked bad and i parked it). I noticed that the number 3 exhaust port had an excessive ammount of moist oil residue in it, should i go ahead and change those vavle guid seals ?

I think this was your problem ROFL

Head bolts not tight enough -> head gasket leak -> white smoke.

If the valve guide seals seem bad change them too when you're at it, of course, but this is not what is causing the white smoke. This only causes a small oil leak.

yea, i agree with the head bolts but the oil leak seams more than a little... Maybe he ran out of seals and just didnt put those on...
If I could find a good machine shop around here I want to take in the head for a pressure test and get the seals looked at, or if any one knows where I can get a valve spring compressor for the 420a that would help, I tryied the one from advance and orilies has the universal one, nither work for me but again this is my first go at head work so im probably doing it wrong.

If you have the head removed it should be easy. We changed the valve springs & retainers without taking the head off - my friend made a tool that could be used to compress the springs.

Here is a solution that another one of my friends came up with:
