Smoked my engine last night

But she held together for 202,000 miles!!

I've been working on my spare engine, but this one went a bit sooner than expected. The vacuum line that connects to the wastegate came off and I got immediate overboost while already getting on the throttle hard to get on the interstate. Don't ask how it came off, cause I really can't figure it out.

Anyhow, as soon as that happened it was done. Smoke everywhere, and dipstick popped. comp check shows 40psi in cyl 3 and 140 in all the rest.

But man, 202,000 miles. Whoever thinks these engines can't take a pounding and be reliable needs to see this! This is the 5th one I've had like this!

Sorry to hear that. Sounds like you had fun doing it though. Good luck on getting that spare engine in there.
