Smoke

I have a 92 Talon TSI Turbo that I just got running yesterday. (The ECU went bad and I finally got it replaced) Anyways, the car started right up and ran perfectly except for the fact that there was some smoke coming from under the valve cover and also underneath the exhaust manifold. As far as the vavle cover goes, I am going to place the gasket, but there is two bolts that are stripped from the previous owner, so I am not sure exactly how to fix that problem. With the smoke coming from underneath the exhaust manifold, I have no clue whats going on there. A couple weeks ago, I sprayed down the engine bay with some degreaser, so maybe that is just burning off now, but I let the car run for around 5 minutes, so I would think that the degreaser would have burnt off by then. I dont know, if anybody has any ideas, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Degreaser burns for a while... and it smells bad too... are the bolts indeed stripped or are just the heads of the bolts stripped, bolt extractors work great! If the holes need to be retapped, that is an easy fix too....

but yeah, I wouldn't doubt the degreaser is still causing the smoking, 5 minutes worth of run time I doubt would burn off all the smoke.
