Hey, so ive got a 97 gst, just had the oil changed so everything should be good right? wrong LOL. Ive had no problems with my car at all. Even with oil changes. but now when i got home, smoke started to come up from the sides of the hood. I open it up and it goes away. It's cold outside and i thought it just might be the heat. I drive to work the next day and on the way there i stop at a light, engine at this point is pretty hot, but again ive never had an overheating problem ever in this car. Smoke starts to come out, i get to work and open it up, same thing goes away.

**Main question is, i check anti freeze container, empty. Could this be the reason for the smoke, could just be the sizzling last of whats left in my engine, Thank you.

Yeah, it's white. Definitely not black or blue. Its only from under the hood then it went away so i have no idea.. Think it's the empty anti freeze container?

white smoke means water ( antifreeze) blueish black smoke is buring oil, as far as smoke coming from under the hood after you got an oil change it could be something little as the person who chanuged your oil dripped windsheild washer salvent in your engine bay and when the engine gets hot it evaportates it thus causing white smoke. also could be your antifreeze resavair. so with the information you provided it could be a lot of things so i would say the best thing to do is to look at your engine when it is smoking and see where exaclty the smoke is coming from.

******also could be your antifreeze resavair leaking. exam it for cracks. you say its empty so fill it to the proper level and see if it leaks.

Next time you drive it get out and look exactly where its coming from. fill your resevoir back up to the line

K thanks, ill fill it up and check for leaks. It had a smell to it like something was actually burning. I can't get over that if it does it again, it could #### something up. idk. I'll find out tomorrow when i go to work.
