sludge in intake

when rebuilding my engine i found lots of oil and sludge in my intake ports and intake runners. i just rebuilt the head and the only things i can think of is the head gasket leaking from a warped head, my custom valve job, or my worn valve guides. please help. will post pictures tonight.

Most likely from the pcv and egr valve.

Alot if not all turbo or forced induction vehicles will have a little oil in the intake system. like Rich said its more then likely a leaky pvc valve.

Get some catch cans and get used to the blowby. I have to empty my can out every week. However, it's a small compressor air filter so I can't really complain.
