hey guys, it seems my car revs a good bit slower then another 1g with the same fidanza lightened flywheel. is there any reason for this??? could a bad set of grounds cause this? its the only possible thing i can think of. my base timing is dead on and my timing belt timing is dead on as well. Ive been driving this car for almost 10k with no problems. This really gets me mad. this other 1g revs a good deal faster then mine and i cannot just believe it. any ideas??

Could be alot of different things. Start with simple things:

-When was the last time you did a tune-up?
-Are you sparkplugs and wires in good shape?

the motor has 10k on it, i just did plugs and wires to be sure, they didnt change a thing

It could be in fuel system ( dirty line, filter, injecters ), are your spark plugs gapped properly? Grounding is definately a possibility though. If your car is revving noticably slower than your friends car with an identical flywheel it has to be something different in your engines. Does he have any work done to his engine? also, you mentioned that your motor has 10k miles on it, did you do a basic rebuild on it or was anything modified?

because no two engines are truly identical the possibilitys of whats causing your engine to rev slower then your friends is almost endless really. in addition to what neoviper said also consider the type of oil used in both engines. some oils are really good on friction. take royal purple for example, that has a low friction level. also you said rebuilt... dose this mean the cylinders were bored and or honed? if so the machine work has alot to do with it as well. possiably a poor quality hone has caused to much resistance. or if your turbo is bigger then your friends your engine would rev a little slower at low RPM's then his due to lag. who knows, like i said endless...
