ok i installed a new slave cylinder and bled the crap out of it according to vfaq. i am able to push the fork and rod on the slave cylinder by hand all the way and when i let it go it returns very slowly and not all the way. the clutch disengages right off the floor. like .4 inches and there is no room to slip the clutch. plz help ive been without my baby for 3 weeks and its killing me

I'd say worn Clutch fork and/or ball fulcrum. Is the end of the fork in the middle of the rubber dust cap when at rest? if not, you have this problem. hopefully, if it is not too bad, you can adjust at the master cylinder (above the pedals) to have it push in more. My catch point is inches from the firewall but liveable. I think I know how yours is and you can probably do so more adjustments. Just get the fork and ball replaced at next clutch install.... RRE has some articles on their site on this subject.

master cylinder has been replaced andm getting an OEM slave this tuesday. im gonna put it on bleed the crap out of it. and then see where i am at. So if that doest work ill try to adjust it. How much freeplay do i want. and i dont think its my pedal assemblyy because i push it down let it up, and i cant pull it up any farther. so u say it might be the fork and pivot. could i lube tose from outside through the hole in the tranny? See its weird cuz i was driving one night and went to second not racing or anything and bam. My clutch pedal went to floor. So i dont understand why just replacing slave doesnt work. But i also noticed whoever had it before me had a shortened version of the slave rod? WTF doesnt this mean it will engage right off the floor. Should i try to put that same rod back on and adjust it.

ohh and my freind can push te pedal to the floor and the fork will be all the way to the end but its not disengaging the clutch. what could that be.

If you haven't tried adjusting it yet, this could be your problem. I just assumed you had..

My clutch felt like my cylinders were going out and I bled it with no improvement. The pedal was basically engaging right next to the floor, and there was barely any pressure. I was prepared to buy a new master cylinder, then figured i'd try to adjust it some to 'hold it over' till I could get some cash. It turned out the adjustment bolt had come loose and that's what the problem was. Now it's adjusted and it's normal.
