I am just wondering how many of you guys have actually bought an extension rod for the slave cylinder, my clutch grabs really close to the floor, and seems like it doesnt shift like it should, if i adjust it to where it engages a little further off the floor, then the clutch slips when i get on it, so is it really worth to buy an extension rod to fix my problem? or should i just adjust the rod a tad?

The extension rod is a hack. People use it when they have something wrong in the system and the proper engagement point is out of the adjustment range. The rod is only used to cover up existing problems.

The first thing you should do is bleed the system, and adjust the clutch pedal. While you're under there look for excessive play in the pedal assembly, They do wear out and have to be repaired or replaced.

Hey thanks man, you saved me $25 haha.. as for bleeding the clutch, i just had my brother sit in the seat, press the clutch in, then i'd open the screw (i had a vac line on the nipple going through a bottle with new fluid in it) let it flow out for 3 seconds or so, close it up, tell him to pull it off the floor, then he'd push it in again and i'd open the screw and so on.. we did that about 5 times, while adding fluid to it as needed..is that the right way?

Sounds right for the bleeding process. And as for play in your pedal assembly, I wouldn't worry since it's a 2g. I don't think they have the same problem with it as 1gs seem to have with it. As for the rod, you shouldn't need it if everything else is working correctly.

alrighty, well i was thinking of getting off my ass and going out there to play around with the engagement point a bit, thanks alot guys!
