Ok, I was working on my car cleaning the throttle body, and when I got it up and running i noticed a few splatters of throttle body cleaner on my valve cover. While it was running I tried to clean it with a rag and the rag got caught in my cam gears... I manually turned it a few degrees back and got it out, but when I tried to start it, the car ran like crap for a few seconds then shut off. If I try to start it now, that same thing always happens. The cam gears I have are aftermarket, and when I put the car at TDC my 0" hatch marks do not match up, as if one of my cam gears is just one tooth off. Maybe it's supposed to be one tooth off from that, I don't know... I'm not a mechanic... If anyone has any info on if the cam gear hatch marks are both supposed to be at 12:00, or any other corresponding number, or if they can be a notch off for "timing purposes" or whatever, it would be much appreciated. :barf:
