im looking to gain about 60 hp but not sure on what esle i can do? I have a t28 turbo front mount gready type rs bov 190 fuel pump full 3inch exhaust eliminated cat what else can i do?

You will need injectors and some kind of engine management. Dsmlink is what most people will prefer. Wideband would be good also to get.

How much are you willing to spend? What is your current power? How much boost are you running now?

dont wanna spend more then like 300-350 could i tune with a neo and a wideband. im running 14psi would like to raise to about 18psi. not sure on the current power i would have to say about 250-260 hp

You do not need a different fuel rail.

Try the FP 17 psi actuator (Forced Performance Turbochargers: FP DSM 17psi DSM T25/T28 Actuator) if/when you have problems holding boost. Someone also posted a DIY custom actuator setup, but I seem to have lost the link.

No you won't need a new fuel rail, you will however need some kind of fuel management.

Turning up the boost is the easiest way to increase HP, so right now turn it up until you're just below fuel cut (should be around 15-16psi) Also if you don't have one a hard intake pipe and high flow filter could add a couple ponies. Also porting your turbo/exhaust manifold is always a good cheap (and time consuming) upgrade.

I seen you started another post that you have a SAFC. I suggest you read up on what it does and how it works. Read about tuning and pick up a logger and i would recommend a wideband o2. Stock 450cc injectors should be good to 15-17psi. Any more boost than pick up a set of 550-650cc injectors. The safc becomes worthless any bigger than 650s.

^^wow.....For the money BC cams are a good mod for a very noticeable gain. But first you need to concentrate on fuel and management. If your not logging now you need to be!!!MMCD and a palm is a pretty cheap way of doing it.

BC cams are in your price range and will give you an increase of 20 to 25hp. You could also get meth injection for a little cheaper and make a little more power but then you would also need some sort of tuning method.

HKS fuel cut defencer??? Adds 48HP and 24LB-FT. I heard it makes a good difference..... o and it only cost 110$ EBAY

And an Apexi sticker adds 5HP...

You'd be better off getting bigger injectors and a tuning device. A fuel cut defender is just a temporary solution until you wanted to go bigger.

like everyone is saying injectors would be a good upgrade, you can get stock evo injectors for about 100$ and those should be enough for your goals.

how about smooth out the ridge on the throttle body elbow? not much but still helps a little. get some watermeth, or cryo2, or get a minor ported and polished head with some 272 cams or something. all little steps

Just because your'e not getting fuel cut, doesn't mean you're engine is tuned safely. You dont have a logger, so you dont even know what youre knock count is or what youre timing is doing. (It could be retarding timing due to knock but your boost is 19psi but youre actually losing power)
The safc and larger injectors in conjunction with a logger that will allow you to monitor things(knock,timing,injduty,etc) will help you create a safe tune with a nice timing curve that creates power. A set of evo8 560cc should get you 20psi+ safely and work well with the safc. A wideband o2 sensor is recommended for some real tuning

I'd get dsmlink, 660s and turn the boost up to 22 ish.


Don't get an afc, just save until you can do it right the first time.
