I installed a 255 in my car a few days ago and after the install the car seems to take a few extra seconds to start and the pump is also very quiet. The Oring is not at fault as I have replaced this and it didn't help. There are 2 wires going to the pump itself ... a + and a - wire. If these 2 wires were switched meaning the one that should be - is going to + and the one that should be + would be - ... could that cause these kind of problems, or would the car just not even start? It seems to run fine once its started, but it still bothers me that it takes more cranks to get it going now ( noticeably more ) and it also is a VERY quiet pump although it's a 255. With my other pump it started right away so I don't understand what's causing this. Also I have a fuel pressure guage under the hood on top of the fuel filter and as soon as I shut off the car it goes straight to 0. I believe it used to stay up at around 40 and then slowly bleed down over the course of a few hours?
