Hey guys, tried using the search to no avail. Probably because this is such a simple question.
I Found an awesome 2g thread that showed all the wire harness connectors but nothing for us 1g's guys.
That thread is here for those interested. (A great bookmark)

So onto my question. I have my alternator just dangling from the bottom bolt until I can figure out how to get the wire harness disconnected.
My car is a early 92 awd laser. Sorry no pictures.
Looking down at the engine bay from the front of the car; There is a black tab on the top side of the alternator connection. I understand this needs to be pushed down or lifted up. (I would assume pushed down)
The wires on the male part of the connector go out the bottom of the and there isnt much to grab onto as far as the male connector goes.
Does the male connector slide out towards the passenger side of the car or out the bottom? And do I push or lift the black tab on top of the female connector?
Thanks for the help guys.
