2G Shut down no power

Hey guys i had to have my girl towed home tonight. She's a 97 2g manual It was running good all day until I took it out tonight and when I got to a stop light all of my electronics/ gauges and motor started acting crazy and kinda limped down the road for a mile before all my gauges flashed and I lost all power. No indicators or 4 ways and no power to the ignition switch.

The running lights were only slightly glowing so I unplugged the battery and waited for the tow. When I got home I plugged the battery in and my gauges came on normally and I (thankfully) got my windows up but it just clicks trying to start. If u guys got any info on where I should start I would greatly Appreciate it.

I’d say first thing to do is fully charge the battery and then check the alternator output.

And clean and tighten battery terminals both ends of both.
