FINALLY! The car looks great even without the Brembos... How do they feel, still soft? and do they squeal?

Please don't tell me those pictures were taken in LaPorte! HAHAHAHA! :p

LOL they feel great, maybe a little soft, but i've driven cars where the brakes start grabbing when you even look at the brake pedal and I hate it. These however are great. I might upgrade to the 17/16 master eventually but for right now there perfect. No squeal to speak of, I applied a liberal amount of hawks grease where the fsm says and not a peep so far.

No some were taken in Timnath at the old feed and grain building that halfway burned down. Apparently the guy that owned it didn't have insurance so it just sits there now.

Good to hear and the car looks great with those new brakes! I worked out by Timnath when I was in high school, East down Harmony at a shotgun trap and skeet range out there.

Anyway, great photos! ...next month. ;)

and getting Beau some love in here since he probably won't post these and he just put them on his Talon.

Gofer, Any issues with wheel bearings running the +25 offset? Any fender mods to get the setup to work? Tire specs?

Wow, they all look so great, pics make me Soooo enviouse :D since the AWD swap i feel spoiled over the completely scary undersized FWD GS-t brakes i ran for years to make my slicks fit. Hell even going back to a stock set of springs and shocks have the look of my car very dissapointing in my eyes...

Hopefully i can find a way to get some decent springs and shocks on her this year and rthen maybe do some work for trade on some brakes or something... I know the info is out there but aside from EVO's where s the best place to get a set of these calipers and do i need to do different rotors as well.. One big setback in brake upgrades i'm affraid will be the need to go to 17" or larger wheels to make room for them, but hell, like i said the GSx oem brakes are a dream compared to the 2g GS-t units that scared the hell out of me to have to rely on using at any pace above 55-60mph LOL

Offset doesn't come even close to hurting wheel bearings as much as running a set of wide slicks and putting really high sideloading on them.

Sure maybe you're not going to get 200k out of the wheel bearing with a lower offset but it's not that big of a deal.

This is not my setup, I was just posting a friends DSM with Brembos on it. Here's a photo of that setup.

and here are his specs. 17x9 +25 Wedsports TC105n's with 245/40/17 wheels. I believe he had minor fender work done but did say he wished he had more rim offset. Here's his profile if you'd like to send him a PM about them... Eckzavier

What are your plans for the GSX Charles? When I was on Club3g I followed it before getting mine and coming over here and it seemed like it was going to be a pretty good build, and that has held true. Whatever happened to the 3g?

PS - I hope you are the same finesse49ers from there LOL, if not, forget what I just said

What's up bro?! Yeah it's me LOL. In the above picture that was at last years Tail Of The Dragon meet outside our cabin where I stayed with ICEMAN99TURBO (Jeremy) and a few other Club3G members. Just a few days ago I went and read your build thread here and was very impressed :thumb:. After leaving TOTD last summer I put my BB 6262 turbo kit on with other supporting mods as the new built 2.4L 4G64 block reached 1000 miles on break-in. I didn't drive it too much after the 6262 was installed and shortly after Hurricane Sandy I pulled the engine because I plan to get the car painted on the exterior and more importantly under the hood during this winter. I have some pictures posted in the gallery section and my mods list is up to date as when I pulled the engine and trans. I plan to change the turbo along with my entire fuel system and do some cosmetic upgrades on the longblock over this winter so hopefully by the spring the car will be back on the streets. I still have the 3G and would like to have it completed by this years TOTD meet but you know how plans never seem to go as planned LOL

OMG these pics are great. Can't wait to get me some Evo 8/9/10 Rims with Brembos.

Pic's came out great.
