Should my bov be open at idle?

I have a 1g bov on my 2g and was wondering if it should be open during idle? My friend has a hks bov on his mr2 and its closed shut during idle so im just curious Thanks!

Yes. Its the way the vacuum port works on that bov. An HKS is not built the same. I believe its a non diaphram bov but dont quote me on that. I just know they are built different. The DSM bovs and pretty much every other type on the market.
