Should I go vband or stick with o2 housing?

I'm getting my new turbo this weekend and I'm not to sure if I wanna get rid of the o2 housing and just go vband. any suggestions? are there any downsides/upsides to this?

In my opinion its all upside except for the cost. Definitely a lot more flow if done properly and also a lot easier to install and remove.

I guess one downside if you can call it that is the added expense of an external wastegate if you haven't already purchased one.

well you didnt really give much info like what type of turbo your putting on your car and if this is just a dd or are you building it for a certain purpose. if just a dd and not and extremely large turbo then the 02 housing should be fine.

my bad. it's a 35r build. It won't be a DD. It'll be pretty much street and strip

my bad. It's ga 35r build. It wont be my DD but will come out a bit. the closest drag strip to me just shut down for good so now the closest one is a good 3 hours away. don't plan on driving that 3 hours for a few passes.

You will need a custom down pipe made or an existing one modified to work. Next is wastegate placement; no o2 housing, wastegate must be manifold mounted. After that, are you going to dump or recirculate (emissions vary between states but dumping is considered an exhaust leak)?

I personally prefer the ease of having just on bolt to take off to remove my exhaust components. Also i just like the way a vband clamp looks!

I think i'm gonna go with the DNP (manifold mounted wg) and 35r. I thought abouthaving a custom dp made as well. In the process of pricing it now actually.

I understand you got bb 35r. What if you had a non bb turbo that was large in size does v band effect spool up?
