Should I be okay reusing this t belt tensioner?

I'm in the process of doing my valve seals and I am wondering if I'm okay to reuse this timing belt tensioner?

I bought it about 1 year ago and it has probably less than 10k miles on it. There was some by the pushrod beneath the pulley arm but I don't see any oil leaking from the top or on the side.

What do you think?

As mentioned above, you would be fine reusing it if you must but it would be safer getting a new one and the same goes for the timing belt too. If you got oil on the belt, replace it but it's a safer move to replace them and not worry but it's not needed.
 
This is a good question and everyone has their answers. Some of them are correct and some are not so correct. Now, the question comes down to the timing belt area. Just from my experience the area in and around the timing belt will need to be replaced with entirely brand "new" components, belts, pulleys, water pump and tensioner. Remember this takes a few hours of serious labor if you do not have the right tools to do this kind of job, you would want to make sure it is done right the first time. Now, some will say that if the seal around it is not leaking then it must be good to re-use. If your a Vegas kind of man then I would roll the dice and re-use that part. If your a skeptic and you know the chances and what the odds are; then your best option is to not re-use it and go with a brand new part. So, the answer isn't really all that clear as you see when it comes to when and when not to re-use parts that have already served their purpose. A part that has 0 miles on it opposed to a part that has 10,000+ miles on it; which part is going to last the longest and which one going to fail the soonest? Hope this helps.

Hmmm... You make a good point. May be beneficial to grab a new belt and tensioner. I know the pulleys are good to reuse for the next service interval.

This car is my dd so I have to treat it right! I'll get the parts and do the job as soon as I have a free day.
 
I would replace it with OEM only. I got mine on a Mitsubishi OEM Dealer website for like $60. My friend bought an aftermarket one and the pushrod broke after like 200 miles of driving it.
