Hi,

what do you think about my shopping list for Slowboy Raching for my 95 2G GSX for about 350whp?
Do I forgot something? I only want to order and pay the shipping charges once from the US to Switzerland ;)

SBR FMIC race core --- 879.00
2G TOTAL SOLUTION:
EVOIII 16G (PORTED MANIFOLD, TURBO IN & OUTLET PORTED, 2G INSTALLKIT WITH 100$ UPGRADE) 1260$
EVO O2 HOUSING 150$
FUEL UPGRADE KIT 646$ (DO i NEED THE 550CC OR ? )
CENTERFORCE dUAL-fRICTION DSM CLUTCH KIT 370$

Thanks

Go for 650's if you're planning on pump gas and of course you'll need something to control the extra fuel. I also don't see an exhaust, gauges(boost as a minimum) or a boost controller. Also some cams would help but tey are not necesary. :thumb:

Hi Rick99gsx,

I've got an ATR 3" Turboback and a egt, boost and oiltemp. gauge.
what would you recommend to control the extra fuel?

thanks

Since your car is a 95 I recommend checking your ECU to see if it's an E-Prom version. If so my #1 choice for ease of tuning would be DSMLink hands down (which I use and love). Support for this product is second to none and the information you gather from their forum and their community alone is worth the price ;). You can get by with an AFC but trust me on this DSMLink is the way to go.

i cant believe no one has said it yet. adjustable fuel pressure regulator.
Hmm for some reason I though it was part of the fuel package that's why I was talking about the fuel management but I just noticed that the AFC2 is included. I still stand by DSMLink all the way though :sneaky:, but good catch on the FPR. You'll need that to bring fuel pressure down from that walbro pump.

Hi, thants to all responses....

So you think all I need is a

- adjustable fuel pressure regulator
- logger (what is a good one?)

and 650's. I only need the car for the street, we do not have drag strips here in Switzerland. I will drive with shell v power 100 octane. thought about 20-24psi.

so you still think 550's are to small and I would should go with 650's ?

thanks a lot

I'm from Australia so i don't know if the E-Prom i use is the same as DSMLink but i'm sure it would be very similiar at the least. Anyway, i can't recommend it enough.

And once again, another vote for bigger injectors. I really do love my bigger injectors.

What he said.

Wideband 02 and definitley some cams if your want to reach 350whp with just the evo 16g.

Check to see if you have an eprom ecu and get dsmlink instead of the afc and datalogger and wideband. Add it up and you'll save money. Get 660's a walbro 255 and afpr and you'll have a good fuel system setup. Get some HKS 264 or 272 cams (not sure which are best for the 16g haven't done my research on it), possibly an extrude honed manifold if you can afford it, and just get an ACT 2600 clutch. You should be able to reach your goals this way.

For $1,260 you can find a way better turbo. Keep your stock manifold and port it to the max for $5.00 yourself. Get a bigger turbo now because you're going to want to upgrade eventually again anyway. I would never spend $1,260 on a 16g w/ install kit and a manifold. I would look at your other options first.

I surely would find out if I had DSMLink if I were you. EPROMs were very, very common in 1995 cars. This includes the best logger you could possibly get for a DSM, IMHO. And go for the 650s. Then, you'll be ready for more boost.

And, I have to agree that it is rather expensive for a "total solution". Keep your options open. A stock 2g manifold is plent for guys running alot more than an EVO3 16G. And by all means look at just the turbo upgrades from SBR. They are a great company. You can get a he!! of a turbo for 1200 bones. And you'll never notice the exhaust mani :D . Take the savings and shift it over to a posible DSMLink set up and AFPR.

I agree.

I have an AGPTurbo RS49T bolt-on and love it.
