Have another question since I'm fairly new to the dsm world. After putting the car on the road and driving it for few day it shifted like butter. Then one day 1st gear didn't like to go into gear. Then a couple days later 1st to 2nd was getting bad. After examing the car I noticed a plastic bushing on the linkage at the Tranny was in two pieces only one was there. Now after removing that remaining piece the car won't go into gear at all. Even when the car is off. I'm wondering if this is my problem since it used to shift fine and now it just doesn't want to. Seems like its binding up somewhere car is completely stock. Question is what bushings does the kit actually replace since it came out of the bottom of the linkage or is it internal of the Tranny even when its doesnt go into gear when cars off .. please help

Sounds like its the Bushings, if that doesnt fix it. Drain the Tranny fluid and check the Drain Plug and the old fluid... If There is a bunch of metal shavings and junk then bad day.

If you are referring to the bushings that sit on the shifter arms on the tranny and the end of the shifter cables wrap around them then you definitely need those. This is also a chance to do your first mod/upgrade. Do a search for "roller bllade shifter bushings" and read up on it. Very cheap and easy to do.

Yes those bushing are very important and would make the car not shift properly if removed/damaged etc. I would definitely replace them with new or like stated above they are a very cheap easy upgrade. While you're at it I'd check to make sure all your shift linkages are secured properly and tightened down, as these coming loose can cause premature bushing failure and lead to future problems.

Now that mod is for the shifter cables themselves I had a small piece more rectangular looking plastic bearing fall out its below the link cable around the bracket area..sorry for my way of words LOL its wasn't very big maybe smaller than a dime it was only half of it.. do the bushings kits include that bushing

Replace every bushing that belongs to the shifter base all the way to transmision mounts, linkiage brass bushings, drain the fluid examin it flush it change it.Of course check your flywheel and clutch, and slave cylinder.
