hey guys, I've had this idea for quite a while now, but now that my engine build is almost done I thought I would start, or atleast plan for this one. What I'm going to do is get a cheap ebay hydraulic drift e-brake and modify it so it activates micro switches and will activate a roadsurge shift box.

But the one problem is that I don't really have a good place to mount it to, at first I was going to just mount it to the floor, but the. That would require modification to the lever and me drilling through my floor, which I wouldn't want to do without knowing what's underneath like electrical or brake or fuel lines.

Then I got the idea of replacing the ashtray with it the brake. But I'm not so sure if there is any space or any place to securely mount it to.

So this part is what's really tripping me up, do any of you guys have any suggestions on a good solid mounting place that doesn't require moving a whole lot of stuff around?

This is one of the few shifters on eBay that real look good a place to build my shifter off of :http://www.ebay.com/itm/171519536145?_mwBanner=1
