Don't torch it. You'll make the metal too brittle. Brute force isn't always the solution.

You can grab it tight with some pliers and pull it off. Try twisting if it doesn't come straight off.
Or if you have a Dremel you can carefully use your cutting wheel to split it off.
If all else fails spray some penetrating oil on top and let it sit for a while as you rest, then come back and try again.

Just be careful not to damage your transmission while doing this job.

Mine is also stuck but the rubber stays on LOL. Idk if the mechanism has any plastic on it so I’d stay away from heat. Like Solomon said, dremel would be the best way if you have the cable removed. You don’t want to bend that mechanism.

The cable is acutaly sitting at the bottom. If i was with my car right now i would take a pic. I cant put into gear correctly cause the cable is off the one bushing and around the bottom of it. I tried using pliers and turning the metal and it wouldnt move.

It must have been hammered down to be stuck that badly. Both of mine slid right off.

Just be patient with it.

Lol. I pulled it and now can't get it back in.. and a Dremel with a tiny cutting wheel worked. Now my question is. Can someone with a 1g , please unplug your TPS and tell me what reading your ohm meter gets if you check just the tps on the throttle Bodie. Thank you.

My new one slid right on. The problem is your suppose to use anti seize so it doesn't get stuck. N the last person didn't. I just cut it off with a Dremel like the previous user said. Thanks
