shifter base

Hey i doubt this will work but i need a new shifter base will a 2g base bolt into my 1g and work right a friend of mine has a 3g short throw base i can get but wanna know if it will work

Also i put gm maf in my car and have a ecmlink gm maf cable do i still keep it as stock maf or gm maf assuming gm maf

no the shifter base will not fit a 1g and the gm maf question yea gm maf is what u need
