Hey all,

Im changing my shift shaft seal and im almost at the darn thing but I've hit a problem. I've removed a spring pin in the shaft itself but the shaft is still not sliding out. I believe i need to take out the lock pin as well but its not budging. The manual skims over this and i cant seem to figure it out. Heres a picture of my progress so far. Any ideas on how to move forward?

Sweet. Thanks, didnt see that link. Another question, my manual lists a 3rd pin which i can't see anywhere. Doesnt seem to be mentioned in the linked thread either. Should it just slide out after the 2 pins are removed?

All you need are the spring roll pin and the solid tension pin removed to get the shift shaft assembly out. Use an air hammer with a point tip to start it, being very accurate on your hit to not wreck the selector. Then follow up with a 3/16" roll pin punch on the proper angle that you won't jam the solid pin into the case section. Then you will rotate the selector arm back and forth while pulling out to remove the assembly.
