shepherd racing question

i am going to have Shepherd Racing rebuild me a tranny. the only problem is that my car is a daily driver so i cant send mine to him. he said he will send me one, but will charge a $1,000 core deposit untill he gets my old tranny back and he can see if it is rebuildable or not. my 2nd gear syncro is shot and i have a slight trans fluid leak. i was just wondering if i should worry about him not refunding my $1,000 dollars. we all know some upgrades we can do with $1,000. thanks

I have had my trans rebuilt back in march with him. the main reason i went with him, is because of his customer service. he always answered the phone, and answered every question i had. also was prompt with the turn around. he can answer all your "upgrade" questions that you would have. it just depends on your goals. so the answer is yes, i would not worry about getting your money back....i have had nothing but good expriences with shep

Yeah I had my tranny done by Shep in May. It was a very quick turn around. I actually pulled my tranny and drove it down there and then went back and picked it up a week later. He was very professional and very informative. As long as your block is not cracked and your internals are 95% intact, you should have no problem getting your $ back. You'll be happy w/ John's service, he wont rip you off.
