We always recommend Shep trannies to our customers. They are the best in my opinion.

that's what I thought too.. TRE is just way too expensive. I had a great experience with Shepherd and highly recommend them.

I have been driving my car with the shep tranny for a little over a week. I wish I had sent it in a long time ago. He shipped it back to me in a huge hard plastic bin.

and do you guys remove and put back on the tranny yourselves? how hard is this to do and how lond does it take?

Depends on where you do it. If you ar lucky enough to have a lift like 2-4 hours with a jack and a a lot of back pain it could be a while. Also Curt Brown uses shep tranny for like 3 years and nothing has gone wrong. Considering he runs 9.4

I don't have a garage to work in or a tranny jack, so I just paid my mechanic buddy $100 to install/reinstall the tranny.

Hey, this looks like an older thread, but I thought I'd pst my $.02. I have roughly the same Shep tranny in my '90 AWD that John was using in his when he was running 9-10's. I believe he has made mods to gears 3/4 (double sync, etc.) but otherwise they are the same. All I can say is his work is top notch and I make love to my tranny on a daily basis TRE=terrible customer service. Shep racing rocks!

my car was stolen like a week ago, tranny is all screwed up, whenever i get the cash i will send my to shep. lots of parts gone
