And why did you get the 550cc injectors? You should've gotten some 650s.

Are you tuning using only the MAFT?

It's not the most accurate thing out there. I'm using one as well ON TOP of a chipped ecu and it works great. Just the maft with stock ecu I had slow spool and the tune was always off more than I would have liked. At least get an safc on top of the maft.

Never said anything was wrong with it... it was just a question. Sorry if it sounded hostile; only the injector question was meant to be hostile :p It's true I would've liked to have seen a S-AFC, chipped ECU, or even DSMLink, but if the MAFT is working then there's no need to spend more money.

Probably should ask 97GS-TSpyder this though: Why did you get a 50-trim if your goal was to beat a 12.87? I didn't think an upgraded auto trans would lose so much power, but I could be wrong.

But you've already bought the parts. If he's happy and you're happy then you shouldn't change anything. I was just wondering why you made the decisions you did. I'm starting to plan out my setup, and asking these questions will help me decide what I should do.

That's the impression I got from reading about it, but without first hand knowledge I was afraid to say something.

Sure, if you have the money definitaly go with something like Dsmlink. But you can't beat a MAFT for the price. It has proven itself over and over around here. Most of the faster guys around here run nothing but the translator, not to mention they have access to a dyno all day long LOL, but it works. It should be perfect for his setup though, as long as you get it dyno tuned. :thumb:

I have heard that said about a lot of tuning solutions. ;)

97GS-TSpyder, any answers to my previous questions? Any information would be appreciated :thumb:

sorry guys, since i got out of DSMs, i havent been back wayy often

but to answer some questions

He wanted a 50 trim so later on he could go bigger and faster. Kinda do it right the first time and only have to upgrade to an SAFC and 660s.

Id like to get 25 PSI, but the Dejon Tool Dual MBC isnt wanting to go over 18. And hte MAFT isnt doing anythign right now ebcause i was an idiot and burned up a resistor. But SAFC is comming, TQ converter is comming, and valve body is comming. Along with dyno time, so it should be fine after we are done.

Well I want to quote on the useless stuff. He really didn't buy "useless stuff". He is also planning for the future. yes... you can pull those number on a 14B... but the 14B will defiantly not be there for future power. The only thing I'm curious about is the 550 injectors... personally... I would of went with 660... for the fact that 1) they flow more 2) They will be good for future mods, and most importantly, 3) they are somewhat the same price as the 550's.

true it was only like 25 bucks more for hte 660s, but we didnt forsee needing them for a while, and they were on backorder for some reason.

Im still workign out some quirks. fuel leaking from the splice i made int eh line to do the fuel pump (it keeps comming loose)
i burned a resistor on teh MAFT i gotta resolder still, and connect the wires for the EGT gugae in the cab. Then im gonna tune it. I cant see over 25 psi for some reason no matter what i do. dont know why. Ill call dejon tool and ask them or it could be the wastegate, not quite sure. havent had alotta time on my hands

the FMIC is the one he wanted, He wanted the big greddy, adn it was like 700 bucks. Way on sale
