ok, i am starting my AWD project, it been some time since i have even looked at parts for the car, but was going to see if any one have some good engine combo ideals, turbo etc, i dont like just buying stuff, i would like to know what it has done for others before i spend all my money on the first thing i see, so let you know, my limit it $5,500. now i dont plan on spending all of it, but if i really have to i will, it a loan and got a great rate on it, but i would like to go ahead and start paying it off, LOL so any piston, cams rods, turbos , clutch kits, cylinder head parts, that you speak highly about, i would like to know, thanks,,

How I started was just searching and searching on this site. Thats why I've been a member since 04 and only have 350 posts. Whatever you are thinking about getting, search it. You'll find so much information and what people that have it think about it.
You don't want to just get what someone else tells you to. Its YOUR build. Just gather information on everything and go from there.

Before you start any project.....

Determine what your goal for the build is....You have set a budget but you dont have a goal.....

And my personal opinion, NEVER build a car on a loan....

Well I don't think I can give you any ideals that weren't instilled in you already growing up. But as for ideas I can say that this kinda of post has been done about 1 billion times and like has been said it's impossible to give advice without goals. You need to determine or inform us what you plan on doing with the car and how well you want the car to do it.
