I have a 2g Esi
I have only had the car for about 4 months now but im in love
cant stop modding it and spending time and money on it

My problem is when I am driving and accelerating, the front right starts to vibrate at around 60 mph. If im going down a hill and i am costing at 60 mph or faster there is no vibration. I think it might have to do with my cv joints or my cv. I'm not a car genious but that sound like what it might be. I am just trying to get the opinion of some good talon no-hows

Something else to check is the tire balance. The right front may be out of balance, which can sometimes cause symptoms like that. Good Luck!

This sounds like a drivetrain issue, not so much a tire issue. Have you curb checked that RF wheel lately? If not, then I doubt that the tire just went out of balance. I woul check the tire over good for any bulges or bubbles, cracks or cuts, and make sure the tire is in OK shape. Then I would jack up that side of the car (use a jack stand pls) and climb under there. Inspect the boots. I'm willing to bet that one of the RF boots has a cut or tear in it. This is a good thing (at least you found the issue.) A cracked or torn boot means the shaft need to be replaced. If you don't see this, climb under the LF and check that out too. You would be suprised how a LF vibration could trick you into thinking the RF is bad. This is especially when it comes to wheel bearings. However, they mostly howl when they are turned left or right, and quiet when turned the other way.

Could be alot of things, jack it up and spin it and see what happens. A CV joint will click when turning if its bad.

Why not take a look at the tie rod end and the ball joint while you are under there.those could cause vibration.

I have had the tires balanced and I have also switched out the back with the front to see if it was the rim. None of those fixed it, so that idea is out the window, im going to jack it up and see if i can see and tear in the cv boot like jester says. thx for all the info so far and dont stop lovin the DSM's

Actually it's the rims + tires you get balanced if all 4 are OK switching them won't change anything.

yea ## best bet would be to jack it up and check everything.. If u can get in there im sure u can figure out what it is
